Liitokala multi-chemistry USB charger/powerbanks are top quality, incredibly versatile and amazing value! Customer reviews
My chargers accept different battery chemistries – including the 3.7v Li-Ion (lithium ion) cells in most premium torches and the 1.2v NiMh (rechargeable AA and AAA batteries) available from supermarkets. My four-channel chargers even have independent charging channels so you can charge both types of battery at the same time!
Every model automatically detects the type of chemistry and applies the correct charging algorithm so you get the longest life from every cell (nothing destroys your batteries faster than a bad charger), and all allow manual adjustment for unusual battery chemistries.
My standard chargers are the wonderful single-channel Liitokala Lii-100 and the four-channel Lii-402+ USB chargers. The "plus" version of the Lii-402 has a longer battery-cage to accept the new 21700 Li-Ion along with all the older sizes.
The Lii-100 and Lii-402+ also serve as powerbanks – meaning you can draw power off a Li-Ion to charge a cellphone, which is an invaluable feature where access to mains power is uncertain (e.g. load-shedding!)
I also stock the Lii-S1 single channel charger which provides a big clear digital readout and automatic polarity adjustment – so you can insert your batteries either way around – but does not offer the powerbank feature.
USB chargers are the most versatile because you can power them from any USB port, such as those installed in new 220v multiconnectors, the dashboards of new cars, hotel rooms and solar panels.
Many cellphone powerpacks can also be used, but I advise against using the USB ports on laptops as a source of power in case it causes a problem for the computer.
It's important to understand that I don't sell "cheap" chargers because they shorten the life of your batteries and can even be dangerous. However you don't need to buy a charger with every torch so it's a one-time investment.
