I have had the opportunity to put the D25R77 headlamp to the test during night-time culling of problem-causing animals and I'm most impressed with the amount of light it provides. I made the mistake initially of putting one of my old batteries in it and I was disappointed with the results, but once I realised my mistake and used it with one of the new batteries I sourced from you... all was forgiven! I often wear the headlamp for several hours at a time, albeit not necessarily switched on, and the optional headband you provided is very comfortable and holds the lamp securely even when brushing through head-height bush. I locate my targets with a handheld spotlight but retrieve the animals using the headlamp – it's definitely fit for purpose and I would not hesitate to recommend it to my hunting buddies. I am still thrilled by my D25LR headlamp. When walking amongst game in the bush the red light does not disturb or stress them at all, while the white light is truly bright and a great tool for searching. As an aside, a friend brought out his headlamp the other day and proudly showed it off, so of course I had to show him mine… Our partners laughed at our competition, but I am pleased to announce that he immediately admitted that mine is far better. Cannot beat this headlamp! I bought it as a backup to my already-loved Cyclops D10... but with the addition of red light it has become my first choice. Ruggedly built, rechargeable, and with a good range of brightness settings in both red and white light – highly recommended for all wilderness lovers. The "77" is a magnificent headlamp, delivering the brightness needed to walk in the bush with ease, and the runtime is impressive – with the red beam adding huge value in my wildlife anti-poaching world. Eventually!! I have a headlight torch that I really like. The white light is perfect for my needs, even on the second lowest setting, and the red light really does make a difference for night vision. As the proud owner and serious user of the long-distance T70 Hunter for our neighbourhood watch, I needed a small torch to help me navigate up and down the mountainous area of Scarborough. Mark suggested the D25LR "77" headlamp which has a brilliant red beam to preserve night vision along with a powerful white spread when needed. Most of the time I'm using the red light, not only for NhW but also as my absolute go-to when it's dark – it makes a huge difference and is much more soothing when you turn it on and off again. I have been thoroughly enjoying my new D25LR headlamp, so much so that my wife and daughter now call it my ‘third eye’! It stays next to my bed for late night load shedding. The red light option is brilliant for moving around the house in the dark (I’ve probably used the red light more than the white light thus far). I especially like the wide range of ‘tilt’ that the headlamp offers, which means you can always find the perfect angle of light for your task.
